In April, TJ Dillashaw will make his second defense of the UFC bantamweight belt with one thing in mind: defeat again Renan Barao to no longer have to worry about the Brazilian fighter.

The North American, who took the Barão title in May last year with a knockout, hopes that a new dominant victory over the former champion will be enough to put an end to the rivalry. The two face each other in the main fight of UFC 186, on April 25, in Montreal (Canada).

“I'm ready to let Renan Barao back. This will be my third training focused on it, which makes things a little easier. Obviously I need to watch my last fights and his too, so I can see what he will change and what I will change. But I'm excited to demolish it again and leave it behind”, he said, in an interview reproduced by the North American website “MMA Junkie”.

After winning the belt, Dillashaw would have a rematch with Barão in August last year, at UFC 177. However, the Brazilian felt ill during the weight cut and was replaced at the last minute by Joe Soto, defeated by Dillashaw by technical knockout. .
