With the contest back to striking, Lee began to find his game. The North American made use of his greater reach and imposed his rhythm in the stand-up fight. In turn, Michel tried to surprise with the overhand right-wing, but always blocked.

In the second round, Tratou also started better and managed to take down Lee on two occasions, but the American quickly managed to get up. More complete in his conditioning, Kevin returned the takedown and kept the Brazilian on his back on the ground, adding points by striking from above.

The third round was dominated by Kevin Lee. Tractor, visibly worn out, was already fighting with his guard down and did not respond to his rival's attacks. Calmly, the North American controlled the last minutes to take the dispute via unanimous decision by the judges (30×27, 29×28, 30×27).

Monster loses and gets complicated

The first Brazilian to step into the Octagon on Carnival Saturday, Rodrigo Monstro ended up defeated and found himself in trouble within the UFC. In the fight against the experienced Efrain Escudero, winner of the eighth edition of TUF, the UFC's reality show in the United States, the Amapá native was unable to impose himself.

A specialist in ground fighting, Rodrigo tried the entire time for a takedown, but Escudero made use of his wrestling to keep the fight standing and work on his boxing. With sharper fists, Efrain managed to shake the Brazilian on two occasions in the first round.

In the second half, Monstro again insisted on looking for a takedown, however, it was his rival who fell on top. Escudero took advantage of the moment and added points to open up an advantage.

In the last round, after insisting so much, Rodrigo managed to take down his rival. However, Esfrain managed to get up and return the takedown, remaining on top until the end of the fight.
