After cutting Chris Weidman of UFC 184, Ultimate President Dana White revealed that he had tried to schedule other opponents to Vitor belfort, between them Gegard Mousasi e Lyoto Machida, in a fight that would be worth the interim middleweight belt. Vitor, however, rejected the duel and stated that he is only fighting for the linear title. The Brazilian's attitude did not please Mousasi, who made a point of provoking Belfort through social media.
