Next Saturday (31), during UFC 183, Anderson Silva will return to the octagon after a year putting some important aspects of his career into question. In addition to seeing how he will do in the recovery from his broken leg, in December 2013, against Chris Weidman, the former champion also sees the possibility of guaranteeing another chance to fight for the title if he defeats Nick Diaz.

UFC president Dana White once again stated that Anderson, the most dominant champion in middleweight history between 2006 and 2013, will not need to rebuild his entire path to have another opportunity to fight for the belt. “I think on Saturday night we'll see where he is. He is completely professional. He did everything he needed to prepare for this fight. He's in shape, and it's just a mental thing. He needs to go out there and see how he feels. I don't think he needs three or four fights to fight for the title again. But, if he thinks yes, he is number one, then he could fight with Ronaldo Jacare, Lyoto Machida, Vitor belfort, Luke Rockhold, Yoel romero…”, listed the manager, in an interview with the North American broadcaster “FOX Sports”.

Recently, Anderson stated that he would no longer like to face Brazilian fighters in the UFC. White downplayed the statement. “The situation becomes limited when he says he doesn’t want to fight Brazilians. Three of the best in the world are Brazilian. Anderson always has some crazy things to say before his fights,” he said.
