Henderson, 44 years old, started the fight in his old style, mixing entry blows with the traditional right cross. Nothing, however, came close to reaching Mousasi, who, in turn, worked more cautiously. Just over a minute into the fight, Mousasi connected with a right cross that hit the top of Henderson's head, which he clearly felt. The veteran fell close to the fence, while Mousasi went all out trying to finish the fight. A few blows later, referee Leon Roberts ended the fight, which caused “Hendo” an instant outrage.

With this, Mousasi recovers from the defeat he suffered in his last appearance in the Octagon, against Ronaldo Jacare, in September last year. Henderson continues his ordeal in the UFC: it is his fifth defeat in the last six fights, the second being by technical knockout – he had lost this method to Vitor belfort, in November 2013, in Goiânia.

The second clash on the main card marked a duel between two of the best wrestlers in the light heavyweight division. And, contrary to some predictions, the fight ended up taking place almost entirely standing up, with an advantage for Ryan bader, who came out on top after three tight rounds.

Bader tried to make his boxing count to nullify the game of Davis, who, in turn, bet a lot on his kicks. Some blows from the TUF 8 champion hit “Mr. Wonderful”, which ended up with his right eye being quite swollen. At times, Davis tried to respond with takedowns, almost always being rejected by Bader.

When it comes to the takedown game, the single most notable moment came in the final moments, when Bader applied a beautiful supple just before the final bell sounded. However, the fight was generally tepid, which displeased the audience at the Tele2 Arena.

In the end, two of the three judges gave victory to Bader, who thus achieved his fourth consecutive victory in the UFC. Davis suffered his second defeat in the last three fights, as he lost to Anthony Johnson in April last year, months before surpassing Glover Teixeira in Rio de Janeiro.

Sicilia shuts down stadium with knockout of Corassani

The main card of UFC on FOX 14 did not start well for the fans present at the Tele2 Arena. Local athlete, Akira Corassani put up a valiant fight against Sam Sicilia, but ended up suffering a tough knockout in the first round, suffering his third consecutive defeat in the UFC.

Corassani and Sicilia fought openly in their exchanges, with good blows being connected by both parties. However, Corassani hesitated for a moment and ended up being caught by a well-aimed cross, knocking him down instantly.

With that, Sicilia breathes in the midst of a difficult moment in the UFC. In the largest MMA organization in the world, the North American now has four victories, against four defeats suffered.

And, inside the cage, there were even more reasons to smile.

Facing England's Andy Ogle, Amirkhani decided to end the fight quickly. As soon as the fight started, “Mr. Finland” ran towards his opponent and threw a flying knee, which he connected with. Ogle, already groggy, cowered close to the railing, but was unable to defend himself from a powerful upper by Amirkhani. So, after just eight seconds, the referee had no choice but to end the fight.
