Gegard Mousasi considers that its fight against Dan Henderson, which will be the co-main attraction of UFC on FOX 14, will have important consequences for the continuity of his career. Coming from defeat to Ronaldo Jacare, the Armenian-Dutch fighter fears that a new setback will take him out of the race for the middleweight division belt for good. Therefore, he sees no other alternative than to defeat the American veteran.

Mousasi has had three fights in the UFC since moving back down to the 84 kg division, losing two (to Jacaré and Lyoto Machida) and winning one (against Mark Muñoz). “After a defeat, you have to pick yourself up again, which is difficult. I think a win over Henderson would make me grow and give me a chance against someone from top-5. It's a very important fight. If I win, I might have the chance to become a challenger. Otherwise I fall from the top-10 and I become irrelevant. It’s kill or be killed,” said Mousasi, in an interview with the “FOX Sports” website.
