Conor McGregor spoke, provoked and did. After spending the last few months dividing himself between attacks, his opponent Dennis Siver and the featherweight champion, José Aldo, the Irishman managed to hit both targets in the early hours of this Monday (19) in the main fight of UFC Fight Night 59, in Boston (USA). After mercilessly knocking out Siver, McGregor fled the octagon and went after Aldo in the TD Garden stands, shouting and provoking the Brazilian as much as he could.

Despite the triumph over Siver, McGregor was unable to beat the German in less than two minutes as he promised before the fight. Despite this, the Irishman did practically what he wanted with his rival, denying his takedown attempts, playing with his guard down and applying several plastic strikes, such as flying knees, flying kicks and combinations of straight and angled punches.

In the second round, the Irishman came to set the stage and, after getting a knockdown very tough, managed to mount Siver and, faced with his rival already practically surrendered, he finished the fight with a few more blows to the ground and pound. After the duel, Conor justified himself, saying, in a joking tone, that people understood that the fight would not last more than two minutes, but he had said that the fight would not go beyond the second round.

Shortly after dispatching Siver, McGregor jumped the bars of the Octagon and went to the stands of TD Garden, where the division champion José Aldo was watching the event. Amid enormous confusion around him, the Irishman began shouting towards the Brazilian and calling him to fight. Still in cage, in an interview with commentator Joe Rogan, after saying several times that he is the true owner of the belt, Conor sent a direct message to Manauara: “Go back to Brazil!”, he said.

Now Conor McGregor has a professional record of 17 wins and two losses. The Irishman is confirmed as the next challenger to the featherweight champion José Aldo, in a fight that should take place in 2015. According to the president of Ultimate Dana White, in a recent interview, the duel should be held at Croke Park, a stadium with a capacity for more than 80 thousand spectators in Dublin (Ireland), or in Las Vegas (USA).

Cerrone wins another and leaves Henderson angry

Many already considered Donald Cerrone a winner just for accepting a fight with less than 15 days to prepare after beating Myles Jury on January 3rd. Because the “Cowboy” didn’t present himself in the octagon as he won the victory against Ben henderson, in a decision by the judges after three rounds of intense exchanges.

In the first round, the study of both sides prevailed and the athletes' fear of trying to take the fight to the ground. In a part marked by the stand-up fight in the medium distance, Ben henderson got the better of it with a slight advantage. In the second round, despite the scenario being similar, there was a fall by Cerrone that defined Cowboy's advantage.

In the third and final round, the dynamics of the second round were repeated and with both athletes betting on striking, but without as much effectiveness, Ben henderson he had his best moments with some clashing knees while Cerrone was more aggressive and managed a providential takedown. In the end, the “Cowboy” was declared the winner in a unanimous decision by the judges, all scoring 29 x 28 in favor of the Jackson's MMA athlete.

Those who didn't like the final result of the fight were Ben henderson, which coincidentally has a vast history of controversial decisions in its favor. Still in the Octagon, right after his third consecutive defeat, the former WEC and UFC champion said he would accept a new fight even next week.

With this triumph, Donald Cerrone now he has reached seven consecutive victories in the last 14 months and increased his professional record to 27 wins, six losses and one fight without result. Currently, “Cowboy” occupies third place in the official lightweight rankings.

“Ambulance Man” wins by medical interruption

right away, Uriah Hall He showed that he was not in a very friendly mood for the fight and, instead of greeting his opponent after the opening bell, he tried to throw a flying knee at his rival. With his guard completely down, Hall tried to connect some of his dangerous kicks, which made him famous during TUF 17, but was unsuccessful.

If he couldn't hit Starlings with his kicks, Hall got the first one knockdown of the fight with a precise right to the opponent's left eye. With his rival on the ground, the “Ambulance Man” managed a few more elbows and punches to the ground and pound, but the fight was stopped by referee Herb Dean as soon as the athletes were back on their feet.

With two deep cuts, on his cheek and left eyebrow, Ron Stallings was declared unfit to continue fighting by the doctor in charge. Consequently, Uriah Hall He won by technical knockout and achieved his third consecutive victory in Ultimate, after a disappointing start in the octagon – with two consecutive defeats.
