“I'd rather wait until Saturday, but it's fine with me if we have to fight before, on Friday,” said Cormier, in an interview with the program “America's Pregame”, on the North American channel FOX Sports 1. “I don't know what It will happen at the weigh-in, but I'm a guy who does things based on what my heart tells me. Whatever has to happen will happen. I'll be ready to fight or whatever happens there. You need to control your emotions. Why fight on Friday when you only have 24 hours left before we are allowed to fight? Right now, my intention is to walk the line and be professional. It will be good to see Jon Jones acting like this. As he says, we swim with the current, it’s just a matter of deciding how we’re going to do things”, he added.
