The year 2015 will start with full steam ahead for Cezar Mutant. The TUF Brasil 1 champion in the middleweight division is scheduled to fight in the first UFC event in the country next year, on February 22nd, when he faces the North American Sam alvey in Porto Alegre (RS).

This will be Mutante's second fight in the UFC since his only defeat in the Octagon, when he was quickly knocked out by CB Dollaway in Natal. “The news couldn’t be better. I was already training hard and hard before my fight was announced and it finally came. The fight will be in Brazil, with the support of the fans and I'm really happy with that”, revealed Mutante, who also commented on the characteristics of his opponent. “Alvey has good boxing, he is very dangerous and aggressive. He's already an experienced fighter, he's already participated in TUF too and it won't be easy. I'm training a lot and I'm already drawing up my strategy to use all my weapons against him”, he guaranteed.
Seeking his second victory in a row after the setback suffered in Natal, Mutante also said he learned valuable lessons from the negative result. “I learned a lot, because I was anxious, wanting to finish that fight quickly, I went in there to end it quickly and it didn't work out. Anyway, if I had gotten it right, the story would be different, but since I was wrong… So we have to learn from our defeats. MMA, especially UFC, is a very high level sport and any slightest mistake can cost you dearly and set you back.”
The fighter, however, assured that learning and changing his posture will not reduce his explosiveness, but rather increase his strategic behavior. “You can expect a super explosive and even more aggressive Mutant. However, very conscious and very patient, waiting for the right time to explode, that is the key”, he analyzed.
