After a flash victory, Lyoto leaves Vitor Belfort behind in the UFC rankings

Brazilian gained third place and pushed the next title challenger to fourth place

The undisputed victory over CB Dollaway at UFC Barueri, achieved after a knockout in just over a minute and without suffering any blows, gave morale to Lyoto Machida in the official UFC rankings. In the new update of the list, after last Saturday's event (20), the “Dragon” left his compatriot behind Vitor belfort, who fights for the belt in February, and is now ranked third in the middleweight division.

Another athlete who played at UFC Barueri and who had his position changed in the official rankings was Hacran Dias. With the triumph over Darren Elkins on the preliminary card of the night, the Nova União athlete debuted in the featherweight rankings in 15th place. As a bonus, Hacran also saw Elkins lose one position and fall to 14th.

Outside of the division rankings, in the weight-for-pound ratio, there has also been a significant change. Just over two weeks after successfully defending his belt at UFC 181, the lightweight champion Anthony Pettis gained one position and rose to fifth place among all athletes, regardless of category. “Showtime” left behind the holder of the linear heavyweight belt Cain Velazquez, who hasn't fought since October last year due to a series of injuries, and is now sixth.
