The 2014 season is coming to an end for the UFC. This weekend, the organization will hold its last event of the year, with UFC Fight Night 58, in the city of Barueri, in Greater São Paulo.

And, to close the year with a flourish, the UFC put together a respectful card for the event – at least in relation to the other attractions held recently in Brazil. The list of fights is headlined by two former UFC champions, who will use the event as an opportunity to recover from recent defeats suffered in title fights.
In the main fight of the night, Lyoto Machida tries to get back on the winning path after being defeated by Chris Weidman in an attempt to win the middleweight belt. The former light heavyweight champion faces CB Dollaway, who is going through a good moment and will try to maintain his 100% success rate in fights in Brazil – in past fights, he has already beaten Cezar Mutant e Daniel sarafian.
Yes, Renan Barao will try to close a difficult year positively. The former bantamweight champion lost the belt in his last fight, against TJ Dillashaw, in May, and in August, he was cut from the rematch at the last minute because he felt ill during the weight cutting process. His opponent is Canadian Mitch Gagnon, who will try to gain prominence in the category if he wins over the Brazilian.
The event in Barueri will also feature other highlights, such as Antonio Shoe Guy (who is having his first fight after winning TUF Brazil, against Patrick Cummins), Erick silva, Daniel sarafian, Vitor miranda and Márcio Lyoto.
