The Brazilian Fabricio Werdum would face Cain Velazquez at the UFC's debut in Mexico, in November this year, but the North American was injured and the gaucho overcame Mark Hunt to win the interim heavyweight belt. Now, Werdum is already planning to unify the titles against Velasquez and guarantees that he has received information from president Dana White about the date and location of the confrontation.

“Now, at the moment, my thoughts are only on Velásquez. My title is interim, a condition that automatically gives me the right to fight Velásquez. Dana White said he was going to do it in June, which was pending with fans in Mexico and Latin America. It will be there. There's a lot to happen. A lot will depend on this fight between Cigano and Miocic, but I won't mention any names. I believe and want it to be Cain. It will be the greatest challenge of my life”, said the fighter, in an interview given this Tuesday in Porto Alegre (RS).
