The Bitetti Combat organization announced this Wednesday Murilo Ninja on the event card, which takes place this Saturday (September 12), at Maracanãzinho. Ninja steps in Rogério Minotouro in the fight against Alex Stiebling.
“We tried to keep Minotouro as long as possible, but he was unable to recover from an ankle injury in time. We were only able to announce the Ninja after everything was agreed. We are without Rogério, but I think Ninja also adds a lot of value to the card. He is a showman”, comments organizer Fernando Miranda.
Ninja already knew about the possibility of entering the event and had been training with his brother Mauritius Shogun, who will fight for the UFC belt against Lyoto Machida.
“I've been training and I'm prepared. I am very happy to participate in this event, the biggest Brazil has ever had, and the public can look forward to it. I’m going up”, says the Curitiba native.
Furthermore, this Wednesday the first foreign athletes, Marvin Eastman and Alex Schoenauer, and referee Big John McCarthy, the most traditional in the sport, who marked an era in the UFC, arrive in Brazil.
