With just over a month to go until UFC 182, on January 3rd, Daniel Cormier already trains hard for the fight against Jon Jones, which will be worth the UFC light heavyweight belt. And the undefeated North American has high confidence that he will be able to impose his game against the champion.

“He’s never faced someone as good as me. He's never faced anyone who's going to use wrestling the way I do, or who's going to put the pressure that I'm going to put on. I'm going to make him fight the way I plan for him to fight. He will be a completely different person in the octagon on January 3rd”, promised Cormier, in an interview with the “Combate” channel website.
Cormier already imagines his victory over Jones – he believes that this psychological exercise is essential to pave the way to victory. “I visualize my victory against Jones every night. Every night I think about the moment when I will have my hand raised, but this is not new, it is something I have done every time I prepare for a fight. I visualize the result, because I know that this is crucial for training. My fight is designed here at the gym. If I put in all my effort and train as hard as I can, I will win. If I leave things unfinished in training, then I run the risk of losing. Everyone here at AKA [American Kickboxing Academy] knows that's how it is. I visualize victory every day. I don't know how it's going to happen, but I see myself with my hand raised again and I'm going to do it in a way where people are going to think, 'Jon Jones never been this good or the Daniel Cormier Is this something we’ve never seen before?’” he concluded.
