Bitetti Combat invades the mainstream media in Rio

MMA has been breaking barriers in Brazil, fighters and events are frequently highlighted positively in the mainstream press. Sunday is the day of the week when newspapers are sold the most – even more so with the victory of the Brazilian team over Argentina – and the sport has gained space in three of the biggest publications in Rio de Janeiro: “O Globo”, “O Dia” and "Extra".

In addition to commenting on the growth of MMA around the world, its appreciation as a sport and business and the professionalism of the athletes, the main focus was Bitetti Combat, which takes place on September 12th, at Maracanãzinho. “O Dia”, for example, gave an entire page to the event in the sports section (Ataque), the same space given to giants like Flamengo and Vasco. Furthermore, promoters Amaury Bitetti and Fernando Miranda were on the Rock Bola radio program last week, on Oi FM.

“We are pleased to have this space in the mainstream media. I think it's unprecedented for three major media outlets to highlight an MMA event like this on the same day. I believe this is important not only for our event, but for the sport, which takes on another connotation”, celebrates Fernando Miranda, who warns:
