Pointed out as one of the main threats to the dominant holder of the bantamweight belt Ronda Rousey, former boxing champion Holy Holm would make one of the most anticipated debuts in the women's categories in the octagon on December 6th. However, an undisclosed injury ended up taking Holm out of the fight against Rachel Pennington at UFC 181, in Las Vegas (USA).
The information was first released by the website “MMAbyNeko” and later confirmed by North American journalist Ariel Helwani with sources close to the athletes. So far, the Ultimate organization has not announced whether it will select a replacement for Holm or whether it will simply remove Pennington from the card.
At 33, Holly holm has a professional MMA record of seven wins in seven fights. A former champion of the Legacy FC event, Holly also has experience in kickboxing organizations and a vast boxing background. In boxing, the blonde has a record of 33 wins, two losses and two draws and has won several titles in her career, almost all of which took place in her home state of New Mexico.
