Friends since the Chute Boxe days in Curitiba (PR), Fabricio Werdum e Wanderlei Silva they are together again. About to fight for the interim UFC heavyweight belt, Werdum received help from “Crazy Dog” in his training aimed at the duel against Mark Hunt at UFC 180. The partnership was announced by Wand himself on his official channel on YouTube, in a video that recorded moments of training and in which the former PRIDE champion speaks, demanded the support of the Brazilian fans for the gaucho.
“I'm going to ask everyone in Brazil now to support Werdum, to pass on positive messages. The guy has been in Mexico for two months away from his family, in the mountains, training. He represents Brazil. He is Brazil with gloves on inside that Octagon. And for us, who want a good show and for him to bring this belt back to Brazil, the job is to support”, said Wand.
Furthermore, when he spoke about his old friendship with “Vai Cavalo” and recalled one of the most difficult moments in the heavyweight's career, Wand didn't miss the opportunity to poke fun at the UFC. “There was a very difficult time for him. A time when he was sent away from the UFC after a loss. In fact, it’s an injustice for this event to send the guys away like this”, provoked the Curitiba native.
