Former training partner and long-time friend of Mauritius Shogun, Wanderlei Silva expressed his solidarity with his fellow Curitiba native after the defeat he suffered at UFC Fight Night 56, last Saturday (8), in Uberlândia.
In the main fight of the night, Shogun was surprised by a counterattack from Ovince St Preux and suffered a technical knockout in the first seconds of activity. With the result, the former champion accumulated his fourth defeat in the last five fights, continuing his bad phase within the UFC.
“My great friend Shogun, I come here to give you my full support and say that I remain your fan, more than ever. We have to understand that this sport of ours is really very difficult and any mistake can be fatal. Raise your head and stay strong. The pain passes and everything returns to normal, as we know its potential has already been proven so many times! I'm with you always, brother, me and all my friends here. Count on us”, wrote Wanderlei, on his Instagram account.
