The quick defeat suffered at UFC Uberlândia, last weekend, cost him two positions Mauritius Shogun in the official UFC rankings for the light heavyweight division.
The fighter, former champion of the under-93 kg category, left the top 10 of weight and is now in 11th place. Interestingly, the Curitiba native lost positions to Ovince St Preux, his opponent in Uberlândia, and for Jimi Manuwa, who would be his opponent in the event before getting injured.
Despite the fall, Shogun remains ahead of four other Brazilian fighters on the list: Rafael Feijão (11º), Rogério Minotouro (12th), Fábio Maldonado (13th) and Vitor belfort (14º).
Another significant change was seen in the featherweight category. Retired from MMA to dedicate himself to military service, Chan sung jung was removed from the list, meaning that the seven athletes behind gained a position. This includes Brazilian Charles of the Bronx, new 13th in weight.
