Ovince St Preux considers that the intelligence factor will be fundamental to defeat Mauritius Shogun in the main attraction of UFC Fight Night 56, which will be held this Saturday, November 8, in Uberlândia (MG).

The North American plans not to join the Brazilian's aggressive game, avoiding risks and, thus, being able to apply his strategy. “Shogun is the type of fighter who will try to take your head off, and the problem is that that uses a lot of energy. My plan is to fight smart. I'm not going to play his game, I'm not going to cause a bloodbath, which is when he causes the most damage. Maybe my cardio is a problem, but I'm fine. I am confident”, said St. Preux, in a press conference reproduced by the website “Ag. Fight.”

Originally cast to face Rafael Feijão and, later, Francimar Bodão, St. Preux did not complain about the constant change of opponents – on the contrary. He sees Brazilian fighters with similar characteristics. “They are both mainly changers, with a similar style. The Shogun is a little more aggressive, but is slower. He no longer throws bombs like he used to, but he invests in low kicks, and they are dangerous. He likes to stay in front of you, and this can create opportunities for falls and blows to the waistline”, he compared.

At 31 years old, OSP has a record of 16 wins and six losses in professional MMA. In his last fight, in August, he lost to Ryan bader in the judges' decision.
