UFC Fight Night 59 will feature a duel between former lightweight champions. Ben henderson, former owner of the UFC belt, will face Eddie Alvarez, former Bellator champion, in the co-main fight of the event, which will take place on January 18th in Boston (USA).
However, the two fighters are not at their best. Henderson is coming off the first knockout defeat of his career, against Rafael dos Anjos, In August. Alvarez lost in his UFC debut last month against Donald Cerrone.
Despite this, both fighters still occupy prominent positions in the official UFC rankings. Henderson is in fifth place, five places ahead of his future opponent.
The main fight of the night will be between featherweights Conor McGregor and Dennis Siver.
