Keeping an eye on the main fight of UFC 299, scheduled for this Saturday (9), aljamain sterling contains important information regarding the preparation of Marlon Vera for revenge against Sean O'Malley. Willing to put his ego aside, the former bantamweight champion (up to 61,2kg) was based on the Ecuadorian's negative factor to point out favoritism and 'Sugar's' victory in the fight.
“Only thing I'm worried about is that I heard he (Marlon Vera) did not have good preparation. A lot of guys who train with him told me. I don't know how true that is, so with that said: I'm leaning towards O'Malley winning. I will say that, I don't think he ends up (in the fast lane) with Vera. So will it be by decision? Split decision? I’m going to say split decision,” Sterling declared on his podcast.

“It will be like Francis Ngannou x Derrick Lewis ou Rose namajunas x Carla esparza II. If you're Chito, you have to fight in a boring way against this son of a bitch (O'Malley). You can't be aggressive against him (O'Malley) and expect it to be exciting. He is very good at what he does. If I'm 'Chito', I don't know if his coaches analyzed it, but look at the fight between Pedro (Munhoz) and (Petr) Yan and see the only times that O'Malley capitalized on attacks: it's when the guy gets aggressive and move forward (…) if Chito is smart, he can win in a boring fight”, he concluded.
