UFC 299 highlight, Michael Page reveals relief after leaving Bellator: 'I felt undervalued'

The new UFC signing celebrated his departure from the old organization and promised to prove that he can be part of the welterweight elite in his new home

One of Ultimate's biggest signings in recent years, the welterweight (up to 77,1kg) Michael Page he couldn't hide his relief with his departure from Bellator. The English fighter said he was feeling undervalued in his former home and that he will shock the world and show a high level of performance in the UFC.

“It was a feeling of relief to be free, because I have a good relationship with Bellator and I was happy there. But at the same time, I knew there was more for me. I felt undervalued there. I just wanted to explore (other options),” Page said in an interview with “Smack Talk With Sandhu.”

The English fighter made a point of saying that he is confident in his abilities, but that he will make a point of showing the world that he is capable of fighting among the top guys in the under-77kg category.

“So I’ve always been confident in myself to know what I can do. My ego is definitely just trying to prove this to everyone, but at the same time I know. I already know the pattern I'm in. It will be good just to show all this with the world watching”, concluded the Englishman.

Former Bellator challenger, Michael Page will make his debut in the world's most famous octagon at UFC 299, which takes place on March 09th, in Miami (USA). The English athlete's opponent will be the experienced Kevin holland.
