The UFC-103 card has its first casualty. The Brazilian Thiago tavares suffered a knee injury during training and will not face Jim Miller, on September 19th, in Dallas. The fighter informed In The Guard that he does not know the real severity of the injury, but he will not be able to perform soon.
“I still haven't been able to know if it's a meniscus or a ligament, either way I won't be able to fight in September,” said Thiago.
The black belt is coming off a series of injuries in his career and has not performed since January, when at UFC-94, he defeated Manny Gamburyan via unanimous referee decision.
