Childhood is generally when one discovers most of the passions that will be carried on for the following years, for many even as their profession. But in case Vitor miranda, life took a real turn after coming of age. Renowned athlete on the national MMA circuit and runner-up of TUF Brasil 3 in the heavyweight category, Vitor miranda recalled his childhood days in a special interview with SUPER FIGHTS and said that at the time he was more dedicated to sports other than martial arts.

“I spent my childhood with my parents and my brothers in the city of Joinville (SC) where I was born. I remember many things like the trips I took with my father to motorcycle races. He was a great motorcyclist and I accompanied him on his races. Until I turned 21 years old, my only contact with martial arts were the movies I watched on TV. I really liked it, I watched the same film many times, but I never had the idea or the initiative to look for a gym to practice some fighting. It was at the age of twenty-one that I had my first contact with martial arts by taking an experimental Muay Thai class. Anyway, I spent my childhood and adolescence training and playing basketball, so my personal development was forged within the family and the sport as well”, said the light heavyweight.

Furthermore, I have a large part of my family in the states of Bahia and São Paulo and it was wonderful to spend the end of the year holidays with them.
