“Sad news. The fight is cancelled. From what I hear, Ian is sick. I don't know if he's in the hospital or something, but he won't be able to fight. Firstly, I wish him the best recovery, a speedy recovery for him and the best for his family. It's really sad. I was ready for the fight, I had a great training camp. Those who follow me on social media have seen a little of what I've been doing. They know how ready I am for the fight. The weight cut was the easiest of my entire career. I have my entire team supporting me. A lot of guys came for this fight. A lot of people supported me and came to watch the fight too, but unfortunately it won't happen”, lamented Luque.

The UFC has not yet revealed whether it will reschedule the duel for a future event or whether it will look for a new opponent for the next fight. Vincent Luque. With the future undefined, the Brazilian stated that he needs to rest.
