The cold mountains of Rio Grande do Sul will heat up next Saturday (August 10), when the WFC Pozil takes place during Expo Gramado, in Rio Grande do Sul. In addition to the challenge between athletes from Rio de Janeiro and Rio Grande do Sul, the event will feature two international fighting. In one of them, Rio's Felipe Arinelli, known as Mongo, will fight against Uruguayan Sebastian La Torre.
“I saw some of his fights on YouTube and realized that he is a jiu-jitsu fighter. He doesn’t change much on top and doesn’t like to fight standing up”, says the fighter, who expects a great production in Rio Grande do Sul:
“I think that, just like the first edition of the event, it has everything to be successful and to grow even more. There will be a great structure due to Expo Gramado and it has everything to be a mega event. It will be good for the image of MMA, which will reach a diverse audience.”
Felipe says he is prepared for the challenge and expects nothing less than to put on the best fight of the night.
“I trained with Ebenezer Fontes, at Gracie Niterói, alongside Guto Vicente and a group of people who helped me with ground and boxing. I trained a lot on ground, English boxing and Muay Thai. I also prioritized physical preparation to be in top shape and have the best fight of the night”, he concluded.
Another international challenge that promises to shake up the event brings Bellator fighter Marcelo Grilo against Spaniard Manu Garcia. Also in a super fight, Maiquel Falcao fight against Carlos Cevallos.
