Even with the UFC's double round last weekend, none of the organization's champions entered the Octagon. Even so, the most recent update to the official Ultimate rankings brought significant changes to the weight-for-weight listing. The main one was in the top-5 with Chris Weidman overtaking Cain Velazquez and positioning himself as the fourth best athlete regardless of categories.

Additionally, there were two other position changes in the new update: the welterweight champion John hendricks rose to eighth and overthrew the muse Ronda Rousey to ninth position; and just four months after winning the bantamweight title fight, TJ Dillashaw rose to tenth place and left the Brazilian behind Renan Barao, which now occupies eleventh position.

Finally, the overwhelming return of Dominick Cruz, confirmed as the next challenger for the bantamweight title, also caused changes at the bottom of the weight-for-pound rankings. Cruz moved up to fight fourteenth and left behind Daniel Cormier, now the fifteenth. Those who also gained a position with Cormier's fall were Alexander Gustafson, which is now thirteenth.

Big upset of the weekend, with his victory over Gunnar Nelson in the main fight of UFC Stockholm, North American Rick Story stamped his passport to the top 15 of the welterweight division, debuting in the rankings in thirteenth position.

Story's climb ended up costing Gunnar Nelson, who he defeated, two positions. The Icelander occupies fourteenth place on the list. Also losing a position due to the arrival of the American was Ryan LaFlare, who dropped one position and is now fifteenth in the division.
