Even having surpassed the Brazilian Amanda nunes in a fight that would give the winner the right to compete for the women's bantamweight category belt, the North American Zingano cat does not see itself as Brazil's number one enemy. After his triumph at UFC 178, last Saturday (27), Zingano revealed that he hopes to beat Ronda Rousey and win the title also in the name of its rival's country.

“This is a very important comeback for me after all. I know I can win this belt and I want to do it for the United States and also for Brazil”, said Cat, who returned to the Octagon after a hiatus of more than a year, in an interview with the “Combate” channel website.

During the press conference after the event, Zigano revealed what he believes are his main weapons to beat Ronda. “I think it’s the caliber of athlete, the intensity that I bring. I feel like I bring something different to everything,” said the future challenger.

Zingano cat, 32 years old, has a professional record of nine wins in nine fights. Zingano was scheduled to face Ronda last year, but ended up injuring her knee and was replaced by Miehsa Tate. There is still no official date announced for the duel for the women's bantamweight belt, but Ronda has already said that she would like to return to the octagon in January 2015.
