Last Saturday (27), after almost three years away due to a series of injuries, the former bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz returned to the Octagon in style. “The Dominator”, as he is known, needed just 60 seconds to overwhelm Japanese Takeya Mizugaki in the fight that closed the preliminary card of UFC 178. For the victory against Mizugaki, who occupied fifth place in the ranking of the category up to 61,2 kg, Dominick Cruz, who was stripped of his title due to a long period of inactivity, was confirmed as the next challenger for the belt TJ Dillashaw. Despite already being announced, the duel still has no defined date or location – although it is more likely that the fight will take place in the first quarter of 2015.
