Next year, the UFC should add another country to its list of visits. According to the newspaper “UFC Tonight”, from the North American broadcaster “FOX Sports”, the organization is expected to hold at least one event in South Korea in 2015.
Although there is no scheduled date for the event to take place, the organization's president, Dana White, indicated that the attraction is likely to take place in the country's capital, Seoul.
Even though it never hosted the UFC, South Korea has a certain tradition in martial arts events. The country has already hosted several editions of the K-1 striking event, in addition to two attractions from Hero's, the Asian organization's former MMA event. Furthermore, the country has some prominent representatives in Ultimate, such as Chan sung jung, Dong Hyun Kim and Hyun Gyu Lim.
The UFC has already promoted attractions in 14 different countries: United States, Brazil, Canada, England, Northern Ireland, Ireland, Japan, Australia, China, Germany, Sweden, United Arab Emirates, New Zealand and Singapore. In November, Mexico will join the list with UFC 180.
