The Ultimate organization announced that the Brazilian Edson Barboza will return to the octagon on November 22nd against the American Bobby Green, in the co-main fight of UFC Fight Night 57. As a bonus, the event also confirmed that the card in Austin (USA) will feature a duel between Frankie Edgar e Cub swanson as the main fight.
At 28, Edson Barboza has a professional record of 14 wins and two losses. The Brazilian is coming off a knockout victory over Evan dunham last July. Already Bobby Green, 28 years old, has a record of 23 wins and five losses. The former Strikeforce athlete was selected to face Donald Cerrone at UFC 178, which takes place next Saturday (27), but ended up being replaced by the recently hired Eddie Alvarez.
In the main fight, the organization decided to promote a fight that had already been highly anticipated. In recent months, Swanson and Edgar, respectively second and third in the featherweight rankings, have been exchanging barbs via social media and hinting that they would like to face each other. Although it is not confirmed, it is likely that the winner of this fight will become the next challenger for the belt in the 66 kg category.
