With Weidman injured, UFC acts quickly and confirms Hendricks x Lawler 2 for UFC 181

A rematch for the organization's welterweight belt will be the new main event of the December 6th event

The UFC acted quickly and has already organized a new main fight for event number 181, which will be held on December 6th in Las Vegas, United States. As Chris Weidman, the middleweight champion, lshook his hand, forcing combat against Vitor belfort to be postponed until February, the North American organization scheduled the rematch between John hendricks e Robbie Lawler for the attraction, in a fight that will be worth the welterweight belt.

The fight will be the first title defense for Hendricks, who won the belt in March, with a narrow victory over Lawler. The champion was out of activity for a long time with an injury to his biceps. The challenger has had two fights since then, defeating Jake ellenberger and Matt Brown in May and July, respectively.

In addition to this fight, UFC 181 should also have another title fight, with Anthony Pettis and Gilbert Melendez dueling for the lightweight belt.
