The soap opera involving the fight between Chris Weidman e Vitor belfort, valid for the UFC middleweight belt, gained a new chapter. The Brazilian, challenging for the title, revealed on his account Facebook that the champion broke his hand during training, which forced the fight to be postponed.

The fight was originally scheduled for December 6th, in the main attraction of UFC 181. However, according to the Brazilian, the fight should be postponed by two months. “I just received the news that the Chris Weidman He broke his hand and our fight will be postponed, apparently, until February”, wrote the Brazilian, who took the opportunity to comment on the situation.

Shortly after the Brazilian fighter's post, the UFC confirmed that the fight was indeed postponed and that John hendricksRobbie Lawler, valid for the welterweight belt, will be the new main fight of UFC 181. The event will also feature another title fight, with Anthony Pettis and Gilbert Melendez dueling for the lightweight belt.
