A lot has changed in the bantamweight division since Dominick Cruz He last fought in October 2011. However, the American believes that, once he returns to full fitness, things will go back to the way they used to be and he will be crowned champion of the 61 kg division once again.

Cruz, who will return to the UFC octagon this Saturday (27), at UFC 178, said that, despite the long period of inactivity, he still considers himself the best fighter at his weight on the planet. “In my mind, I’m still the best bantamweight in the world. But I still need to go out there and fight. It's been a long time since I last fought, but if I had any doubts about me being the best, I wouldn't be competing. If you don’t think you’re the best, what’s the point?” said Cruz, in an interview with the website of the North American broadcaster “FOX Sports”.
