After three editions of the reality show The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil, the inaugural season continues to be one of the most remembered by MMA fans in the country. Led by coaches Wanderlei Silva e Vitor belfort, the program had a good audience on Sunday nights and revealed important names, who now frequently work on the UFC scene.
Francisco Massaranduba He is one of the most popular characters in that edition. The fighter from Piauí believes that the authenticity of the athletes in the first season of TUF was the difference in relation to other editions.
“I'm not much of a television watcher, but I'm sure the guys from the first TUF were more sincere. They didn’t want to show themselves to be something without being”, said the fighter, in an interview with SUPER FIGHTS. “The TUF 1 people were more sincere. There was no such thing as wanting to be this or that for the public to see. Whether you like it or not, inside you will have your failure, everyone fails, everyone makes mistakes.”
massaranduba stated that, despite the great success of TUF 1, his life remains the same as before. “These days people asked me what life was like after TUF – it’s been the same way. I have the same friends. I’m living in Curitiba, but my friends call me every weekend, we talk,” he said.
