Elkins is coming off a loss to Jeremy Stephens in January this year.
UFC 179, or UFC Rio 5, takes place on October 25th, at Ginásio do Maracanãzinho. In the main fight of the night, the featherweight champion José Aldo puts his belt on the line in the rematch against the North American challenger Chad Mendes. In their first meeting, in 2012, Aldo won by technical knockout in the first round, in a fight also held in Rio de Janeiro (RJ).
