The dominant submission victory over Gegard Mousasi last Thursday (5), at UFC Fight Night 50, yielded good results for the middleweight Ronaldo Jacare. The Brazilian gained two positions in the official ranking of his category and is now second among athletes under 84 kg.

To take second place, Jacaré left two other prominent Brazilian fighters behind: Lyoto Machida, the last challenger for the category belt, and Vitor belfort, who will be the next to face the champion. However, Jacaré is still behind another Brazilian, Anderson Silva, which is in first place. The category champion is Chris Weidman.
