For the seventh time in his career, the featherweight Felipe Sertanejo will be part of a UFC card in Brazil. This Wednesday (03), Sertanejo was confirmed for UFC Rio 5, which takes place on October 25th at Ginásio do Maracanãzinho. On the night, the São Paulo native will face the North American André Fili.
Sertanejo, 26 years old, has a professional record of 16 wins, six losses, one draw and two unsuccessful fights. The Chute Boxe athlete is coming off a victory over Maximo Blanco in February, at the UFC in Jaraguá do Sul (SC). Already André Fili, just 24 years old, has a record of 13 wins and two losses. Fili is one of the main promises of the Team Alpha Male team, where they also train Urijah faber, TJ Dillashaw e Chad Mendes.
UFC 179, or UFC Rio 5, takes place on October 25th, at Ginásio do Maracanãzinho. In the main fight of the night, the featherweight champion José Aldo puts your belt on the line against the challenger Chad Mendes. The duel is a repeat of the fight that headlined the second edition of UFC Rio, in 2012. On that occasion, Aldo beat Mendes by knockout at the end of the first round. In the co-main event, former light heavyweight title challenger Glover Teixeira faces the North American Phil Davis.
