UFC plans Shogun x Jimi Manuwa for November in Brazil

Information was published in the organization's official newspaper; duel is scheduled for the event that should take place in Uberlândia (MG)

After being defeated by Dan Henderson in March, at an event held in the city of Natal (RN), the former champion Mauritius Shogun he should also make his return to the Octagon on Brazilian soil. The Ultimate organization plans to hold a fight between Shogun and Englishman Jimi Manuwa for the UFC on November 8, which should take place in the city of Uberlândia (MG).

The information was released by “UFC Tonight”, the organization's official newspaper on North American TV. According to journalist Ariel Helwani, the promotion of the fight is being discussed among Ultimate's management, but it has not yet been made official. So far, the only fight confirmed for the November 8th card in Brazil is Rafael Feijão x Ovince St Preux.

At 32, Mauritius Shogun has a professional record of 22 wins and nine losses. Former UFC light heavyweight and PRIDE GP champion, Shogun is coming off a defeat after a devastating knockout to Dan Henderson. Jimi Manuwa, 34 years old, has a record of 14 wins and one loss. Former champion of the UCMMA event, the Englishman of Nigerian descent lost his unbeaten record in his most recent fight, in March, when he was knocked out by the Swede Alexander Gustafson.
