Olympic champion in wrestling Henry Cejudo will no longer make his debut in the biggest MMA organization on the planet this Saturday (30), at UFC 177. According to a statement from Ultimate this Friday (29), Cejudo, who would face Scott Jorgensen on the preliminary card of the night, was removed from the event for “medical reasons”.
According to the “Combate” channel website, Henry Cejudo, who was also a gold medalist in Olympic wrestling at the Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro in 2007, fell ill during his weight cut and was unable to continue with the process, which resulted in his withdrawal from the event.
This isn't the first time Cejudo has had trouble cutting weight. The North American also had problems with the scale four times in just nine months. In addition to also being cut from the fight against Damacio Page at Legacy FC, Henry also did not weigh 57,2 kg in his two previous fights and faced his opponents in combined weight fights.
