Serra Gaúcha will host, for the first time, WFC Pozil Gramado. The beautiful city, which is part of the tourist itinerary of thousands of Brazilians, will see, on August 1st, great fighters in a fight show. Gustavo Finck, Representative of WFC Pozil in the South, is excited for the event that will have the support of the city's mayor, Nestor Tissot, and vice president, Luiz Antônio Barbacovi.
“We are working hard to show the value of Brazilian MMA and Brazil is lacking organized events. We chose Gramado to host this mega event, as the city is prepared to receive the public that will come to honor us”, said Finck. The event will feature five preliminary fights, in an electrifying challenge between Rio Grande do Sul x Rio de Janeiro, and three international superfights, with athletes from Uruguay, Spain and the United States. Bellator FC athlete Marcelo Alfaya “Grilo” will fight for the event's belt against Spaniard Manu Garcia who, according to the WFC Pozil organization, is in negotiations with the UFC.
The WFC Pozil card fight has already concluded and the athletes from Rio de Janeiro will leave for Porto Alegre on July 31st in the morning. On the same day, at 14 pm, the official weigh-in and press conference will take place at the Hotel Serra Azul.
Fred Fontes, president of WFC Pozil, really enjoyed the card fight and expects a lot of movement from the athletes.
“As we always pay a lot of attention to the formation of the card, we try to match the fights well. Fans like to see busy fights and we are always paying attention to that. In Gramado there is nothing else to talk about, WFC Pozil promises to mark the Gaucho winter with a great show. In addition to the public from Rio Grande do Sul, we will have many fans leaving from São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro to Gramado through tourist packages carried out by Trigest Fight Travel, the official agency of WFC Pozi” concludes Fred Fontes.
