Mayura Dissanayake defeated her rival in just 18 seconds at an event held in Houston, United States


Mayura Dissanayake, the MMA fighter who dispatched three bandits during a robbery in July, returned to the ring last weekend. And the Sri Lankan-born, United States-based athlete showed that he remains in good shape by defeating his opponent with a knockout in just 18 seconds.

Dissanayake, 24 years old, faced Jaime Garcia at the Savarese Promotions event, held in Houston, the city where he lives. After throwing some low kicks at his rival, Dissanayake connected with a powerful left cross, which knocked Garcia down. After a few more blows on the ground, the referee stopped the fight and gave the Sri Lankan the victory.
