A photo released by the Vietnamese-American Cung le on his social networks earlier this week raised suspicions about the physical form of the 42-year-old fighter, who will be taking part this Saturday (23) in the main fight of UFC Fight Night 48 against Michael Bisping. Faced with established distrust, the Ultimate organization, which regulates its own events in China, announced that it will subject Bisping and Le to more rigorous anti-doping tests after the fight in Macau.

The information was released in this Wednesday's (20) edition of the official UFC Tonight newspaper. According to the news, both Cung le as Michael Bisping They will undergo urine and blood tests at the end of the fight. The decision ends up being Ultimate's reaction to Bisping's comments, who despite adopting a mild tone, demanded strictness in the tests. "Who knows? Maybe it is really applied. I hope that's the case. Many people are not sure whether or not he used performance-enhancing drugs. I'm sure he didn't. I'm sure he did it the old fashioned way. (…) But I would love for us to do a blood test on Saturday night”, said the Englishman, in an interview with the “MMA Junkie” website.

The person who also took a stand on the suspicions raised by the image was himself. Cung le. The 42-year-old fighter was asked about the photo during the Media Day of UFC Fight Night 48 and presented his own version, stating that technical photography factors enhanced the content.

“That was my real image. I had just stepped off the scale after a really tough workout. I had lost 3 kg and literally stepped off the scale. It was just a moment: 'Okay, I'm so light.' I flexed and someone captured everything in perfect light. If I was like that all the time, I would be happy”, said the Vietnamese-American, also on “MMA Junkie”.
