The way the Brazilian Chris Cyborg will behave in his first weight cut to the bantamweight category appears to be the last major barrier to the realization of his long-awaited fight against Ronda Rousey. At least that's what President Dana White said during a question and answer session held this Wednesday (20) in Macau (China). Participating in the event alongside Ronda Rousey, Dana responded to questions about a possible fight between the champion and the Brazilian.

“She's going to have to make weight and she's going to do it at Invicta FC (an exclusively women's event, which recently signed a partnership with the UFC). Let's see what happens from there. Ronda wants this fight. I know a lot of people who talk shit as if they don't want to, but they do”, said the president, who recalled that the Brazilian is scheduled to make her debut in the 61,2 kg category at the end of this year.

With the manager's approval, Ronda also commented on the matter and was direct in confirming the boss's words, reiterating her interest in facing Cyborg. “I would love that too, but I don't care about fights. I just show up at them and beat them”, said the American, without missing the chance to needle her rival.

At 27 years old, Ronda has a perfect professional record of ten wins in ten fights. The former Strikeforce champion moved to the UFC as the bantamweight belt holder and has already defended her title four times in the biggest MMA organization on the planet. Already Chris Cyborg, 29 years old, has a record of 12 wins, one loss and one fight without result. The Brazilian was also champion of the now-defunct Strikeforce, but in the featherweight category. Cyborg currently holds the same division title in Invicta FC.
