The Rio de Janeiro Sports Jiu-Jitsu Federation (FJJD-Rio) has already started preparations for the Rio x São Paulo Team Challenge, which will take place simultaneously with the third stage of the entity's Ranking, the Rio Municipal Cup, on the 8th of August, at Club Municipal (RJ).
The athletes from Rio de Janeiro were decided in the second stage of the Circuit while those from São Paulo were selected in the National Cup, an event organized by the World Legue Pro Jiu-Jitsu (WLPJJ).
“The teams have already been selected and we will bring this great challenge between the two largest states that form the gentle art in Brazil. We will have great competitions and we are preparing a good prize pool”, warns Rogério Gavazza, president of FJJD-Rio.
One of the representatives of the Rio team, Wallace Castro, Lili from GFTeam, promises to bring a big crowd to support Rio.
“I will take students from the project where I teach, in Vila Cruzeiro, with percussion instruments and bandeirão. We will have a big party”, he guarantees.
