This Saturday night (16), the UFC returns after three weeks of “forced” vacation, as the 176th edition that would have taken place in the meantime ended up cancelled. In the main fight of the night on the card held in Bangor (USA), the top-10 light heavyweight category Ryan bader e Ovince St Preux. But before the duel in the Octagon, the pair met at the event's official weigh-in, this Friday (15).
At the “Cross Insurance Center”, the same venue as tomorrow's fight night, the pair passed the scales without any problems. So much Ovince St Preux when Ryan broke the division's 93 kg limit. The fighters also seem to have left any animosity for the octagon tomorrow, as despite having quite a series of confrontations, there was no suggestion of an attack or even offense from either side.
Brazilians make weight and confirm their fights
The edition in Bangor, in the US state of Maine, will also feature two Brazilians, Thiago tavares e Jussier formiga, on their card and they passed the weigh-in this Friday (15) without any fear. The first to appear on the scale was the bantamweight Jussier formiga, who weighed 57,1 kg and confirmed the fight against Zach Mackovsky.
Soon after, in the fight that opens the main card of the night, Thiago tavares fulfilled his first commitment in the featherweight category, in which he made his debut. The Santa Catarina native weighed 66,2 kg and is confirmed in the duel against Robbie Peralta, who also weighed the same weight.

Known by the nickname Smilin' (Smiling, in free translation), the North American Sam alvey ended up getting laughs from the audience who watched the UFC Fight Night 74 weigh-in, whether in the gym or even on video. More than anything related to his Ultimate debut, Alvey drew attention for weighing himself in a shiny thong.
The outfit was widely commented on in the official UFC broadcast, which featured a presentation by former fighter Brian Stann and former bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz. Without worrying about the repercussions of the look, Sam alvey, who is a companion of Dan Henderson at the “Team Quest” gym, he stepped on the scale and reached the 84 kg limit for the middleweight category.
