The constant provocations of Conor McGregor are not having any effect on the UFC featherweight champion, José Aldo. The Brazilian, who has already heard from the Irish who would be annihilated by him, compared McGregor's stance with that of another famous MMA loudmouth, Chael Sonnen.

In a press conference given at an event held in his hometown, Manaus (AM), Aldo gave his opinion on McGregor's statements. “I see these provocations as something normal. It's like he's a new Sonnen. He's promoting himself. He still has few fights in the organization and is trying to jump the queue. He's already messed up, for sure, just because he talks so much. Until he expresses himself well, then he should reach his goals quickly,” said the fighter, according to the “Globo Esporte” website.

Despite downplaying McGregor's words, Aldo said he believes he will face him in a title fight. “About the belt, one day we're going to bump into each other and then we're going to see who's who”, he challenged.

The two fighters will be in action in events that will be held in the coming months. At UFC 178, in September, McGregor faces Dustin poirier, while in October, at UFC 179, Aldo puts his belt on the line again against Chad Mendes.
