Banned from acting in MMA for two years, due to doping suspension, Chael Sonnen dodged the hook and returned to action in the Metamoris grappling tournament. In the main attraction of the show, held this Saturday (09), in Los Angeles, the controversial North American fought a tough fight, but ended up being submitted by the Brazilian André Galvão in 14 minutes of fighting. Another highlight of the event was Anderson Silva, who watched the event from the audience alongside Rorion Gracie, founder of the UFC.

Facing one of the biggest names in grappling, Sonnen was considered the biggest underdog of the night. But the controversial North American put up a tough fight, stopped André Galvão and prevented the Brazilian's attacks. However, after 14 minutes of fighting, with Chael no longer having the same resistance, the Tupiniquim black belt swept from half guard, got to the back and locked in a fair rear naked choke.
