Urijah faber suffered an injury whose details were not disclosed and will not be able to face Masanori Kanehara at UFC Fight Night 52, which will take place on September 20th in Saitama, Japan.
The “California Kid” would have his first fight outside North America, as, of his 38 professional MMA fights, 37 were in the United States and one was in Canada. In the last one, in July, against Alex Caceres, suffered a rib injury despite winning via submission in the third round.
Faber's replacement in the fight will be his last victim, Alex Caceres. Even more inexperienced than Faber, “Bruce Leeroy” will have his third fight in Asia, having already fought in Macau (November 2012) and Japan (March 2013). The change has already been confirmed by the Japanese version of the UFC website.
